Snowmobile the Cape Breton Highlands
Winter in Cape Breton is bold, beautiful, and best experienced beyond the road.
This is a four-hour guided snowmobile journey in partnership with TNT Outdoor Adventures, immersing guests into a true Canadian winter landscape. Designed for those seeking a breathtaking winter experience, the tour will guide you through snow-laden hardwood forests, rolling mountain terrain, and wide-open stretches that reveal panoramic views of the Highlands, an experience you simply cannot access any other way. The guided tours are designed for both beginners and experienced riders, maintaining a comfortable pace, ensuring safety at every turn, and sharing local insight about the region’s terrain, with a chance encounter of wildlife, and winter culture along the way.
Each booking includes a fully equipped snowmobile and complimentary winter ride gear, taking guests on a 4-hour guided tour of the snow-covered Highlands trails. The experience balances exhilaration with time to take in the landscape, enjoy light refreshments, and pause for a warm stop at the Pig & Whistle along the route.

Tours are intentionally kept small to protect the quality of the experience. Each tour accommodates up to five snowmobiles, with one guest per snowmobile included, for a total of up to five guests per tour. For parties wishing to ride two guests per snowmobile, additional passengers may be added for an additional fee. Groups of fewer than five may be paired with another small group, or guests may choose to upgrade to a private tour for an additional fee.
Transportation is effortless, with complimentary shuttle service available from LaPointe Chalets, or guests may choose to drive themselves. Optional enhancements, including snowshoeing and a Margaree maple taffy stop, can be added to further personalize the experience.
This is a winter adventure that is immersive, local, and unforgettable.
The package price is $565 CAD per snowmobile (one person). For parties requiring more than one rider per snowmobile, additional passengers may be added at $150 per person. Availability is limited, particularly on weekends, and advance booking is strongly recommended.

Cape Breton Highlands Jeep + Maple Tour
A private winter journey through landscape, story, and local tradition.
This three-hour private guided tour in partnership with Cape Breton Backcountry Adventures, designed for guests who want to explore the Cape Breton Highlands at a slower, more intimate pace. This experience emphasizes connection over speed, combining scenic touring, local storytelling, and one of the region’s most iconic winter traditions. Guests are picked up directly from LaPointe Chalets and travel by private Jeep through winter landscapes shaped by history, culture, and geography. Along the way, the experience unfolds through guided storytelling, scenic viewpoints, and a deeper understanding of the Highlands and Margaree region. A defining moment of the journey is a visit to a Margaree maple syrup farm, where guests experience a time-honoured local winter tradition. Each guest receives a complimentary bottle of locally produced maple syrup, offering a meaningful taste of Cape Breton to take home.
